These suggestions for identifying the causes of uncontrollable anger and then learning strategies for dealing with it were developed by Rebecca R. Kang, Ph.D., associate professor of psychosocial and community health in the UW School of Nursing. Both the module and the intervention are provided for educational and informational purposes only and are not intended to substitute for professional services by a trained health care professional. The information should not be used for diagnosing or treating health or behavioral problems or diseases. Please contact your health or human service provider for answers to questions about your health.
When used by health care professionals, the information in both the module and intervention should be adapted to the clinician's experience and the population served. We do not claim they are a proven recipe since most interventions need to be shaped to meet the client's or group's individual characteristics.
