Welcome to the Stepping Up Online Discussion Board! This discussion board was created by the University of Washington School of Nursing in cooperation with the First Steps program funded by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Medical Assistance Administration. The goal of the Stepping Up Discussion Board is to connect public health nurses and other professionals working with low-income pregnant and parenting women so that they may engage in helpful discussions about common problems and issues. It is also intended as a forum for sharing helpful resources or suggestions. With difficult cases or questions, a request may be made for input from a faculty expert from the UW School of Nursing or the Center on Infant Mental Health (an affiliate of the School of Nursing and the Center on Human Development and Disability). To enter the discussion board, simply click below. After logging in with a user name and password, you will enter the home page. To join an on-going discussion, or to start a new topic, go to "General Discussion" and click on the appropriate box. Managers of the Stepping Up Discussion Board will monitor all postings and reserve the right to delete postings that are not appropriate for the discussion board, or which are out of date.
